Blackberries

I hit the blackberry patch pretty early this morning, and I was glad I did. The competition for the sweet, ripe berries is small but fierce, and they were pretty lethargic at that hour. As usual, the full complement of dogs and cats was there to lend moral support.

And then there was pie. And toothpicks, if you need them, for picking the seeds out of your molars.
